Academy of Real Estate is offering classes required to get a real estate license as well as continuing education courses for current licensees.
Pre-License Courses: Required to sit for the New Mexico Real Estate Associate Broker License Exam
Real Estate Law: Class focuses on general legal concepts of real estate: Ownership,contracts,agency; Fair Housing, state/local laws- zoning and taxation;general license law and rule concepts.

Real Estate Principles & Practices: This class will teach students about practical aspects of real estate: Land description, appraisal,finance and closing; environmental issues and investments.

Broker Basics:This course deals with the New Mexico Real Estate License Law,New Mexico Real Estate Commission Rules and Regulations, NM Human Rights Act and NM Owner/Resident Relations Act. Students must have either completed Real Estate Law and Real Estate Principles & Practices or received a waiver from the New Mexico Real Estate Commission from those courses before taking Broker Basics. This course is available by Zoom streaming technology or can be taken in class at New Mexico Highlands Rio Rancho Center.

Commercial Mortgage Fundamentals: This course looks at commercial mortgage financing; how commercial real estate loans are reviewed and determined through various benchmarks;types of lenders and loans;prepayment penalties and the role of the investment market in commercial mortgages: 4 CE Hours; Core Elective
