If you want to further your career in helping others, New Mexico Highlands’ Rehabilitation Counseling Master’s Program is the place to start. Highlands offers two emphasis under rehabilitation counseling to match your career goals: clinical rehabilitation counseling and rehabilitation counseling. The 48-hour rehabilitation emphases is focused on national certification and state licensure in rehabilitation counseling only. The 60-hour clinical emphasis allows graduates to seek both state licensure in psychotherapy as well as in rehabilitation counseling.
Graduates with a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling are in high demand across the county. Graduates can look forward to a variety of rewarding careers in federally funded state or tribal rehabilitation agencies and in the private sector.
